Sleepover Party Theme

Sleepover Parties are great for girls, usually ages 8 and up.  Here are some great party ideas, games, activities and party supplies that will make planning your sleepover party a success.

Sleepover Party Food

Baked Potato Bar::

Make baked potatoes in the oven.  Provide toppings such as sour cream, grated cheddar cheese, bacon bits, peas, chili, butter, etc.  Kids love putting together their own combinations and making their own meals.

Brownie Pizza::

Make Brownie batter from package and pour into pizza pan.  Top with M&Ms, mini marshmallows, sprinkles and bake.  When it's done, take it out of the oven and sprinkle with caramel sauce.  Cool.  Cut up in wedges and serve with ice cream.

Sleepover Party Activities

Sleepover Autograph Pillowcase ::

Kids can decorate and autograph a Sleepover Friends Pillowcase  for the Birthday Girl, or get one for each guest as a take home favor.  Pillowcase comes with ballpoint pen but supplement with bright pens to make it more fun.

Beauty Treatment::

Supply the girls with Sleepover Nail Polish Kits , lotions, and the latest beauty creams to pamper themselves.  Let the girls give each other new hairdos and supply them with brushes, curlers, and pretty pins.

Girls love crafts and scrapbooking.  Buy a scrapbook kit for each guest, or have them make their own by covering two sheets of 8.5 by 11 inch cardboard with decorative contact paper.  Insert plain white or colored paper between the covers, punch holes on the left side through all layers, and tie together with colorful ribbons or string.  Provide stickers, markers, pens, die-cuts, punches, stamps and scrapbook embellishments.  Pictures from teen magazines and brochures, advertisements can be used as well.  Take "before" and "after" pictures of the girls with a Polaroid camera or print out digital pictures on the printer.  Ask the girls to bring extra pictures from home to the party as well.

After all the activities, a sleepover party movie can calm the evening down.  Pull out all the sleeping bags, pillows and pop some popcorn.  Dim the lights and let the kids slowly wind down for the night.
