Policies & Contact Information

(1) There is a Travel Fee of $25 if your location is between 20-50 miles from Westford, MA.  On occasion if we do travel outside our travel radius of 50 miles, a $1 per mile charge is calculated instead.

(2) Tea Cakes and Teddy Bears will be at your location for a total of 3 1/2 to 5 hours. This includes 1 hour set up, 2 hour party and clean up.  Please keep this in mind as well when you decide to rent a function hall, room, etc.

(3) Due to the popularity of our parties we are booked 2-3 months ahead of time, so please plan accordingly to ensure you get the party date you want.  Please check this page for availability (scrolling text is updated periodically) or fill out an online request form.  To help with the party planning process, we have provided a party checklist. 

(4) To secure a date,  a deposit of $100.00 is required in order to reserve a spot.  A deposit should be sent only if party dates and availability have been discussed with us previously.  If we do not receive your deposit within 5 days of our communication, this party date will be automatically released.  Party Invitations will be sent upon receipt of deposit.  Remainder must be paid at the beginning of the party.

(5) We accept personal checks, money orders, & cash. A $25.00 fee will be charged for checks returned for NSF.

(6) RSVP policy - Due to the upfront cost of setting up for your party, if a guest is included in the count and does not attend, we can not provide a refund. 

(7) Unfortunately, we will not be able to accommodate unexpected guests/siblings. We prepare our parties on the final count given to us prior to the party. They will need to be supervised.  Our parties are for children 4 and older.

(8) Once a deposit has been paid, parties may only be postponed. We will gladly work with you to find an alternate date, based on availability. If you chose to cancel for ANY reason, your deposit is non-refundable. If you need to re-send invitations, their will be an additional charge. 

(9) Tea Cakes and Teddy Bears assumes no responsibility or liability for accidents or damage. 

(10) Your Hostess will treat your home with utmost respect, and provide professional service.

(11) Parents are welcome to help and enjoy the party provided we have enough room to accommodate the space requirements needed for our party.  We require a safe and clean area for dress-up, crafts, and food consumption so that everyone will have an enjoyable event.  We also request that the noise level be kept to a minimum in order for the children to hear our instructions and for them to be able to enjoy their party.  We suggest a separate gathering area away from our party where parents can socialize comfortably.

(12) When sending out invitations, please ask your guests to arrive on time and to wear a leotard or bathing suit underneath their clothing for ease during dress-up.  In addition, please ask if there are any food allergies.
